The Kunstraum Lakeside (art area) is a place for critical discussion which places the conditions of work, the economy, knowledge production and communications within a field of tension at conflict with local and global as well as real and virtual spaces and addresses their potential and drawbacks through the extended methods and media of contemporary art.

The art space was designed by the artist Josef Dabernig as an exhibition, project and events area and sees itself as a place for open communication and discussion. The curated ‘Kunstraum’ programme offers alternating exhibitions, talks and film presentations as well as permanent designs such as works by Alice Creischer | Andreas Siekmann, Dorit Margreiter, Andreas Fogarasi, Gülsün Karamustafa and Iris Andraschek | Hubert Lobnig.
